I must be truly bored at work to be writing in my LJ today...

Nobody updates anymore so I stopped coming to LJ to read other people's posts.

Life: work at job #1 and then work at job #2 and then sometimes work at my mom's store which becomes job #3. DT Thursdays are the highlight of my week. My newest TV addiction is Entourage. I learned how to play poker this week. I try to squeeze in at least one day of tanning a week with Sarah/Mattie/Kristin. I'm dealing with trying to lease my apartment (shootme). I'm going to NYC in August with my family! Annd that's about it. Life.

A night worth noting:

The intern party from a few weeks ago... it was the BEST. I LOVED Michael's roommates and friends. They were so fun and friendly. We played a TON of Flip-Cup at their house and finished an entire bottle of Hideoous before we headed DT. Even though we only hit two bars, it was all a blur. All the guys somehow ended up with pink boas... and then we went back to Michael's house, hung out doing stupid stuff for another hour or two. Then we all crashed there. I woke feeling so gross and could not believe I just slept in a house where 9 boys live. It must have been DISGUSTING. Anyways, totally worth it. Amazing night.

I'll keep it short.

We're downtown for Sarah's birthday... K and I leave to meet up with Chase. We run into JACOB STETSON who drags us in The Blind Pig? Pug? (IDK!) where we ran into KEVIN KEYES (a year younger than us from CHS, baseball player at UT, kind of famous). Jacob introduced us to him and it was suuuper awkward because he had no idea who we were.

As we're leaving that bar, K and I run into CHRIS TERRELL who we used to work with at Acton. Crazy.

We walk out of the bar and who do I see walking in the middle of 6th street??
AALOK BHATTARI and STEVEN SHEFFIELD!

K and I pointed, waved and went over to say hi. Aalok is adorable as always and hugs us. And then... STEVEN HUGGED US BOTH. Whaaaat. I don't think I've EVER had a real conversation with Steven before. Ever. And his mother and I were close because she helped with prom, etc.

But then it gets better because NATHAN MANN walked up and smiled and waved to us. OMG - Nathan Mann. ANNNND then, KEITH DEMBY of all people came up to join us. What. the. hell. Still ridiculous as ever. He still acts like he's the hottest thing to leave Connally.

Other really, really, really hilarious things happened but those were my personal highlights. :) Dear god, I love being 21.

I want to thank Annie-Lee and Kristin for putting up with me at the Justin Timberlake Sing-A-Long last night. Ahahaha. It was AMAZING. We had so much fun dancing and singing like fools!

It essentially proved what I already know... JT is the perfect man. He can do anything and do it well. They played songs from FutureSexLoveSounds, then they went old school with all the best NYSYNC songs, then a bunch of his collaborations with other artists including the new Ciara song and back to more FutureSex songs.

Crazy screaming girls + one big dance party for 2 hours... it was kind of like a great workout with a JT soundtrack.

WHO WANTS TO GO WITH ME AGAIN NEXT WEEK??? :D
I'm kidding... but not really. If someone one wants to go, I'm totally in.

Stan said something very interesting to me today. I mentioned the Lakers vs. Celtics game to him, he asked me if I follow basketball and I said, "YEAH! Of course I do!" He thought it was just so cool that I was interested in sports, then he said he didn't understand why more girls aren't into sports.

All I have to say to that is: WORD.
I consider myself pretty well-versed in most sports, particularly football and basketball at the college and professional level. I guess it's because I grew up with two boys... my brother and Dustin.

I don't understand why guys always find it so surprising that a girl can have a real conversation about sports with them. Silly boys. But then again, I find it REALLY WEIRD when boys aren't into sports. I don't think I could ever date someone who wasn't moderately to very interested in sports.

Anyways... I wanted to share this Nike commercial with Lebron James. Another example of great advertising by Nike. If you watch closely, you can spot Lil Wayne in there. NBA ALL-STAR game next weekend! My man Ray Allen just got placed on the Eastern Conference team because someone was injured which means the Boston THREE AMIGOS (a reference to a great ESPN commercial) will be on the team... plus Lebron equals domination!

ALSO: COLDPLAY IS COMING BACK TO TEXAS IN JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Moyo and I are getting our tickets the moment they go on sale. No hestitation this time.

I am proud to be an American voter today. BARACK OBAMA IS OUR PRESIDENT!
Yes, there is a lot to do to fix our country. Yes, there are no easy solutions.
But yes, I sincerely believe we elected the most confident, generous, sincere, kind, charismatic, fair, and smart man for the job.

[I am APALLED by the ignorance in the world. One girl's status on Facebook: "Just a reminder, Obama is still half white." ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? Just because he is half of one thing and half of another, it doesn't make a difference in his beliefs and values as a human being. He is still considered a black man. We should be proud, not trying to devalue his accomplishment as the first black president. It's amazing.]

I won't even start on someone else's status. It made me wonder about her sanity. So WRONG.

Don't hate.
The better man won.

Einstein Bros bagels at work!
I don't think I can describe how much I love bagels. It's just too much love.

I started going to these boot camp workouts that one of my bosses introduced me to. I looove it. It HURT like no other after the first session (I literally could not walk like a normal person) but now it's not bad. Not to mention I've gotten used to getting up at 5:30 AM to work out!

- Viva La Vida, the new Coldplay CD, it's definitely different but I think it's great.
- Celtics took it home and owned the Lakers. Fantastic, exciting NBA finals! I'm so happy KG, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen finally got a championship. Did you see how cute Ray Allen's son was? CUTE.
- Some people should keep some things to themselves. Ever heard of TMI? Too much information.
- Thursday afternoon sangria testing parties at work! Haha, our office is crazy.

First things first...LA. My highlights:
I sat near Ian Ziering (Steve from Beverly Hills 90210) at the Starbucks in Malibu.
Arnold (The Terminator/Gov. of California) rode by me on Venice Beach on his bicycle.
I sat in George Clooney's seat at the Academy Awards (front row of the Kodak Theater).
I did a lot of shopping, eating and wandering around by myself.
The weather was perfect. Sunny but cool...always.
In the end, I had a wonderful time but LA isn't really the place for me.
It actually confirmed how much I love NYC and I want to be there.

Back to work.
I'm working 8-1 everyday but I'm really enjoying my afternoons.
Naps and lounging by the pool. Naps while lounging by the pool!

I feel like I need to make the most of this summer because who knows where we'll be NEXT summer. The summer after junior year is when everybody takes their "official internship" and more than likely, most of us won't be in Austin.

I'm in one of those moods where I'm watching chick-flick movies and reading girly "chick lit." Basically so I can imagine having that kind of swept-off-your-feet, all-consuming, true love kind of love. <3

Everytime I see it, my heart pounds with excitement and I squeal.
Moyo: "I was like a little girl."
Hahaha...we've got big plans for their Dallas concert in Nov.

Laaaaaa, laa, laa, laa
Wait til I get my money right

There are still no words to describe the Kanye West concert. So I went with Moyo and a bunch of his friends. (Yomi! Idris! Alpha Phi Alpha guys! HOT! Especially Yomi, he is so nice, funny and has an awesome accent that's a mix of Canadian + Nigerian.) We had great seats and were two rows behind Lunchbox, Amy and Carlos from the Bobby Bones show. I FREAKED out and called Kristin immediately. Then I took a bunch of pictures of them. I'm such a stalker but whatever, I'm a huge fan!

Lupe Fiasco came on exactly at 7pm so the Erwin Center was still pretty empty. He performed my favorite songs, "Fighter," "Daydreaming," and of course "Superstar." Matthew Santos was awesome too. I wasn't very familiar with N.E.R.D. but I really enjoyed their show! They got the audience up on their feet. They also pulled four random girls on stage but they were goofy/terrible dancers. To make things worst, Pharrell Williams hugged each one of them afterwards. I was jealous. Rihanna was alright, nothing spectacular but better than expected. It was fun singing along to "Umbrella." Kanye West was so energetic. He just kept on rapping and running around. The stage was insane! I had so much fun dancing and singing along to EVERY song. Some of the songs that were the most fun: Good Life, Gold Digger, Stronger, Can't Tell Me Nothing, Diamonds from Sierra Leone, etc. Moyo, after the show: "That was like a religious experience!!" [Moyo enjoyed the show more than ANYONE. I was standing next to him and felt like I was in danger cause he kept jumping up and down, waving his arms, etc. Haha.]

I'm glad I went to the show. The End. I should be studying for finals.
Then I realized I should write about the concert because I like checking back years later and reading about big events. If I didn't write about these things, I would never remember anything. I recently went back and read my entry from prom. Hahaha...good times.

It's late.
I've gone 4 days with 3-4 hrs of sleep.
But I have to write about this before I forget it all...

We just finished our Texas Revue show at Main Mall. I just got home, it's almost 1am. I am blown-away by how quickly it came and went! It's hard to comprehend that we spend ALL year planning this talent show but it's a lot of work. Every moment tonight was worth it.

Luckily it didn't rain during the day, it all cleared up and it was SUNNY, breezy and beautiful. I was out there all-day, between my two classes, checking up on the stage and sound crew. Then we had rehearsals from 5-7:30 and the show at 8!

The whole day was INTENSE to say the least. Getting through rehearsals quickly, moving everyone on and off, getting all the acts ready at the right time, coordinating sounds and light cues, equipment and making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be.

We set out 1,500 chairs...EVERY SEAT was filled the entire night. Not to mention hundreds of other people sitting and standing in every inch of Main Mall. I couldn't be more pleased with the number of people who came! And they seemed to REALLY enjoy the show.

Of course I spent the whole show making sure we followed the schedule, each act was present, hunting people down, running around asking and answering questions, making sure people were taking care of their tasks, running around solving every little problem. It was stressful but of course, also a rush for me.

Andrew, our stage manager (and one of my logistics committee members) is a freaking FRESHMAN, but he ran the entire show! He's a "theater kid" so we entrusted him with the job of Stage Manager this year because the lady we usually hire was booked. He's honestly a gift to our committee in every way. He was much more patient with every act and their demands than I could ever be. At one point, in the middle of everything going on, he took off his headset, threw down his binder and ran onstage to help us get a band and all their equipment off. I'm so glad he and I are going to be the chairs next year. If tonight proved anything at all, it's that Andrew and I are going to a badass team!

TJ and Pamelagrace and their rap/song! So amazing. They got everyone on their feet and singing along. Alpha Phi Alpha and their stepping! "Peanut butter jelly time!" Everyone stood up and rushed the stage for their performance. It was crazy. Redefined Dance and their hip-hop routine! They need to be on America's Best Dance Crew. ABSA and their skit! So hilarious! Everyone was great but those were my favorites.

Another show on Saturday night! I can't wait for my family and friends to see it!

It's such a good feeling to see all of our hardwork turned into the real thing.

Accounting test on Tuesday.

Business Law paper due Thursday.
Texas Revue show at Main Mall Thursday night.
Texas Revue show at Hogg Auditorium Saturday night.

I'm one of those people who actually likes celebrating birthdays. I don't know why people don't get excited ...you get presents, it's fun to dress up, I like being surrounded by my friends, and it's nice when people know about it and tell you "Happy Birthday!" Unfortunately, I'm in an awkward situation. I'd like to go out and do something fun/crazy but I'm usually the person who plans those things for other people. Haha. Also, everything is so weird this year...I know who I want to be there but I don't know how weird it would be for everyone. It could turn out SO AWKWARD and I'm not interested in doing that again... maybe it's best not to do anything at all. It'll be the birthday with no celebration. :( [I really just want to get drunk. Maybe I can convince the boys to have a small party and play crazy drinking games.]

My room was so messy and my bed had so many clothes on it, I had to sleep on the floor yesterday. I also spent a couple nights on the couch this week because I stayed up so late studying.

Kristin's PS inspired me to admit: I have such a crush on Sean, the guy in my BA 324 group. He is SO HOT. But he has all these other qualities that just make him that much more attractive because I've gotten to know him. He's a genuinely nice guy, really smart, athletic, super tall, great eyes, hot voice...just ohhh so cute.

I'm going to LA right after my last final on May 9th. My cousins are flying out on the 7th and coming back the 11th. I'm staying with my cousin (he lives in LA) until the 14th so I'll get a few extra days. I'm actually looking forward to wandering around by myself, relaxing, tanning, going to the beach...it'll be the perfect way to celebrate the end of this crazy semester.

Spotted: Coach MACK pulling up to the football stadium in his white Cadillac Escalade. Basketball player AJ Abrams walking up 21st street. Quarterback Colt McCoy inside Cypress Bend Cafe, finishing eating and heading off to the Athletics building for football practice.

Note to self: Don't go on an extended run if you have to wear pointed toe 3-inch heels for a 30 minute presentation the next day. Your legs will shake.

The presentation went really well!
A celebration is coming up...drinking + working on part two of the project (the 40 page report) = bound to be hilarious.

You know what I don't pass up on? Safari print flats on sale for $9.49 at Old Navy.
I bought two pairs in two different prints, naturally.

Frenchmen on the return of The Hills? Sleazy or suave?
There's a fine line between European suave and European creepy.
They were flirting with the line. Especially that Mathias guy.

I know I create stressful situations for myself.
I try to take on too much work and responsibility.
Mostly because I don't trust other people to get the work done. So I do it.
The next two weeks will be a lesson in what real STRESS is. Should be fun. Not.

Los Angeles in August! My parents swear we won't have to visit family.
I'm going to put together a list of celebrity hot spots...
Restaurants, clothing boutiques, Pinkberry! The OC to go surfing!

Note to everyone: To those of you who don't eat breakfast, according to a Vogue article I read in their new body issue...when Sumo wrestlers are forced to gain weight, the first thing their trainers do is take away their breakfast! SO EAT BREAKFAST!

I'm out! Too much work to do to keep on writing.

Our little road-trip/carnival adventure was awesome.
It was close to the SB perfect day.

I'm PRETTY close to my breaking point.

Every night this week, I've worked on my group project for BA 324 for at least 3 hours. I LOVE, LOVE my group. Everyone works hard, is hilarious and just genuinely nice. We're making some hilarious videos for our presentation.

Today I left my house at 7:15am. I got home at 10pm. Then I spent 1.5 hours answering and sending e-mails for Texas Revue. A total of 20 or more emails. There goes ALL my time.

Now it's 12:30am. I've managed to get changed/cleaned up, I printed paperwork, sent a few more emails, got my stuff together for another 15 hour day tomorrow and instead of reading for Marketing...I'm writing in my LJ and watching Jimmy Kimmel.

Two group projects for my Law class and Accounting Class. Due dates? April 10th and April 15th, respectively. Haven't started. S***!

Susan and I saw Step Up 2 today. 1) We both love dance-centered movies. 2) It was nice to do something together.

This is a small clip of the final dance sequence and it's kind of dark so you can't see it very well but in the movie, the entire 5-minute scene is amaaazing. I love the part at 57 secs. Check it out.

I LOVED IT. (I know...I'm ridiculous.)
But honestly, I love watching and have such respect for people who can dance like that. It blows my mind. The ONE thing my mom didn't make me do as a kid was take dance lessons. We did everything else: soccer, basketball, tennis, swimming, martial arts, piano, flute...you name it, we did it. And now I just wish she had put me in some dance classes!

There's a hip-hop class at 24 HR Fitness on Friday evenings and I've never had the courage to take it (not to mention it's at a terrible time). But sometime soon...I'm going to find the time and the courage to try it. Just for the hell of it. :)

And that's my random blog of the week...
